Day 03: Gangtok sight seeing - Darjeeling
This morning we start for a half day trip of Gangtok city covering Rumtek Monastery, Institute of Tibetology (closed on Sunday), Dro-dul-Chorten, Flower Exhibition centre, Directorate of Handicraft & Handloom. After lunch transfer to Darjeeling (100 kms / 04 hrs). Overnight at Darjeeling.
Day 04: Darjeeling (Local sight seeing)
Early Morning (at 0400 am) drive to Tiger hill to watch the spectacular sunrise over Mt. Khangchendzonga (28,208 ft. Worlds third highest peak), on your way back visit Ghoom Monastery and Batasia Loop. After breakfast visit Himalayan Mountaineering Institute, P.N. For Tsomgo & North Sikkim, permit will be issued ONE DAY in advance (between 02:00 pm to 05:00 pm). Same day permit will not be issued.
We need for processing of permit in advance: NAME, ADDRESS, AGE & GENDER, 02 COPIES OF PASS – PORT SIZE PHOTOGRAPH, PHOTO-COPIES OF ID PROOF.
It is mandatory that guest should carry photo proof identity card – Voter ID card, etc.
ESSENTIALS:
Basic personal items to be carried include, feather jacket & heavy woolens during winter and light woolens during summer, walking boots, rain proof jacket during monsoon, torch, spare batteries, water flask, cold cream, personal medicines & Sunglasses.
